Passed away peacefully on July 13, 2023, age 81 beloved husband of Brigitte (Nee Vanaudenaerde) to whom they celebrated 58 years of marriage. Loving father of Patricia (Bob) Johnstone. Loving grandpa of Kristen Johnstone and Mandy (Seth McCarthy) Johnstone. Predeceased by his parents Lorne (1987) and Murial (1987) McFadden. Dear Brother-in-law of Willy (Clara) Vanaudenaerde. Dear uncle of Monique (Dave) Simone  and Ann Marie (Tim) Brunet. Sadly missed by several great neices and nephews. John drove transport for over 40 years. He was a proud and dedicated member of the 3rd degree Knights of Columbus and the 4th Degree W.J. Langlois Assembly. He was an usher for Our Lady of Guadalupe and volunteered with Goodfellows, Sertoma and We Care fo Kids. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) on Monday July 17, 2023 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. Parish prayers Monday at 4:30pm. 3rd and 4th degree prayers at 7:00pm. Funeral Mass on Tuesday July 18, 2023 at 10:30am at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church. Cremation to follow. Donations may be made to Windsor Cancer Centre Foundation or to the Hospice of Windsor.
