Jim and I really appreciated then Canon Peck's marriage counselling, renewing of our faith, and early family ministry when he was at Holy Saviour Church in Waterloo. We were Blessed by his rule for married life of "Each for the other, and both for God", and with the analogy of looking up at a ladder of married life that the higher up we looked, the closer the sides were, being similar to the closer we drew to God, the closer our married lives would be. On June 5th, we celebrated our 52nd anniversary. Hidden under the Shadow of His Wings (Psalm 17:8), may the extended Peck family generations know God's Blessings received from a Faithful servant of God. Bishop Peck ministered to our family over many years including the passing of our father Dr Walter Percival and the joyful celebration of the life of our mother Alice Percival in 2016. It is always so sad to lose a parent and your father was an especially kind man. I read his two books; one signed to me when he was in Harrow where I remember him also as Bishop for our 200th celebration of the church at Colchester by the Lake.. His humility and interest in people was always clear, One day, seeing me at Met Hospital, he waited until I came down the small escalator to chat after I'd been visiting Hospice patients. It made my day to meet such akind man whom I had also got to know through his two books and a prayer retreat he did with us at Canterbury College. I am so grateful that Bishop Peck told me about what he'd written- reflections about life and one's faith, often while he was travelling by train. He always finished with a prayer. Thank you, Lord God, for giving me the opportunity to learn from such a dedicated compassionate Christian.. My sincere condolences and my prayers that you will be comforted in the days and months ahead. Jane Buttery

My deepest sympathies to Sheila and family for the loss of your father. I had the privilege of knowing Mr. Jack Peck for many years. He was and remains one of my favorite clients. I was always looking forward for our visit and conversations while I was cutting his hair. His kind words, wisdom, sense of humor and compassion will be deeply missed, but always a treasure. The world lost a remarkable, devoted and caring man, who has left a wonderful legacy behind. Rest in peace Jack . Flori Cristea

I feel great sorrow at the passing of this great man. Knowing him and working with him in parishes was a treasure in my life. He supported my creativity and expression of Christ's love in my theological practice. When I was in seminary he was an advocate on my behalf. As one of those who helped fulfill my ministry bucket list I felt his great love and compassion from how he lived life. I have love in my heart from the Bishop being part of my journey for Christ. Condolences to all of you. We are saddened to hear this news. Our family, while growing up, knew this amazing man as "Uncle Jack". Our father, Sid Lupton, also followed the same path and went into the ministry. The two families would often get together hence why we would make reference to Uncle Jack and Aunt Shirley. I do recall time spent at a cottage where both Dad's ran around with brooms late at night to try and get rid of a bat while the Mom's looked on telling them what they should be doing! Uncle Jack was so knowledgeable, so witty (with that sweet smile), outdoorsy, open minded, kind and loving. I like to think that we knew the other side of Uncle Jack. Yes, he was a minister and went on to be a Bishop but we get to remember him gliding along in a canoe wearing a plaid jacket or sitting with us while we all had a meal together and always that smile! As you age, we all remember those special people that played an important part in your childhood. Thank you Uncle Jack for all of the beautiful childhood memories. You will be in our hearts forever. To the family of Bishop Jack P Peck. We send our condolences to all of you. Bishop Jack's first parish was Christ Church Oxford Centre and his first marriage ceremony was for my husband and I. We have kept a special connection over the years with Jack and Shirley, both awesome friends. On our 60th wedding anniversary we sent him a message of thanks for "getting it right" his first time!! Bishop Jack was a great friend of the Diocese of Algoma when I was Bishop there. He acted as a chaplain to the clergy during Synods and helped care for many larger parishes between Rectors. Bishop Jack was a gentle pastor and a valued friend. Bishop Ron Ferris Victoria, B.C.

My sincere condolences to Bishop Peck’s family. Always a smile and a kind word. I live in ParkPlace Condo where your dad resided until his health required him to leave. Always smiling and I would meet him while he tended to our plants in the lobby. He officiated at my Moms funeral for us. He lived a life of giving. A very kind man. Dear Peck Family,,my sincere condolences in the loss of your father,grandfather,great grandfather,,what a lovely man,,i had the privilege of Canon Peck marrying me and my now x-wife back in June 1981 at All Saints Anglican Church downtown,,,thru the years after our marriage there was some marital turmoil and i sought out his help and guidance,,he kept me on the straight and narrow thru a difficult time, for which i will never forget and am forever thankful for his guidance,,,my career brought me back to Windsor in 2000 and i crossed paths with Bishop Peck a few times at Windsor Airport where i was employed with Air canada,he never forgot me as i reminded him of who i was and what help he gave me thru those trying times,he always spoke of his kids and grandkids quite passionately every time our paths crossed!! my thoughts are with you at this difficult time but rest assured,what a kind considerate thoughtful outstanding man he was and im sure he touched more people in more ways then any of us will ever know!!!! RIP dear Canon Peck, as i knew him back in 1981,,,
