Obituary of Fiorigi Fiorino

It is with saddened and heavy hearts that our family announces the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Nonno, and Bisnonno on June 24, 2023, at the age of 90. Beloved husband to Raffaella (nee Turchi) with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage. Loving and devoted father to Merilu Fiorino Micheli (John), Pat Fiorino (Julie), Gabriella Fiorino Daher (Ted). Cherished Nonno to Alyssa (Derek), Olivia (Justin), Samantha, Paige, Bianca, and Bis-Nonno to Enzo and Giovanni. Fiorigi is predeceased by parents Pasquale and Maria Teresa Fiorino, three siblings and survived by brother Antonio Fiorino (Beatrice) of Windsor. Adored Zio to many nieces and nephews and loving brother in-law and cousin to many. Fiorigi was born March 6, 1933 in Grimaldi (Cosenza) Italy and immigrated to Canada as a young man full of dreams. He was a Master Cabinet Maker with his work recognized internationally. He was a retired employee of Ontario Cabinet Makers with many years of dedicated service. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church and their Knights of Columbus for many years. Fiorigi's greatest pride and love was his family with whom he enjoyed many family gatherings. He took much pride in his garden, making wine and enjoyed watching sports, especially his favourite Italian soccer team, Juventus. Fiorigi will be remembered as a very loving, selfless, generous and kind person to everyone who had the opportunity and privilege to know him. He will be forever loved and forever in our hearts. Rest in Peace.

Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (South Chapel), 3048 Dougall Ave., South Windsor (519) 253-7236 on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 2:00 - 5:00 p.m.and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Parish prayers at 8:00 p.m. Friends are welcome to join the family on Thursday, June 29, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church (804 Grand Marais Rd. E. at Parent Ave.) for Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery, St. Francis Mausoleum. As an expression of sympathy and to Honour Fiorigi, memorial donations in his memory may be made to the Hospice of Windsor (6038 Empress St., Windsor, ON. N8T 1B5).
