Obituary of Doris Teresa Parkolab

PARKOLAB, Doris (nee: Vigneux) Kind and gentle to everyone who knew her, Doris passed away peacefully on August 23, 2008 at Heron Terrace with her loving children by her side in her 80th year. Predeceased by her loving husband Walter (2005). Loving mother to Maureen and husband David Knowler of Bayfield, Michael Parkolab and wife Bernadette (nee: Thibert) of Windsor. Predeceased by parents Raymond Vigneux and Angela (nee: Duquette). Cherished grandmother of Debbie Cox and husband Bruce of Nova Scotia, William Parkolab and Nicole Parkolab. Great grandmother to Grace and Thomas Cox. Dear sister to Ted Vigneux and Dena, Leona Bryans and husband Jack. Predeceased by brother Maurice Vigneux and sister Verna Makowich and surviving husband Tony. Dear sister in law to Harry Parkolab and wife Gail. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Doris was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister and friend, who's smile brightened up the room wherever she went. She enjoyed playing bingo with her many friends in her leisure time. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Monday, August 25, 2008 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers Monday 7:30 a.m. Relatives and friends are requested to gather at St. John Vianney Church (385 Dieppe Street) on Tuesday, August 26, 2008 at 9:30 a.m. until time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Interment Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
