PARE, Roy Wilfred Passed away peacefully, on February 16, 2008, surrounded by his loving family at Riverside Place. Born June 5, 1922 in Ford City (Windsor, Ontario). Beloved husband of Marie Pare (nee Thibodeau) for 64 years. Loving father of Patricia McMullen and husband George, Ruth Lendvai and husband Steve, Betty Armstrong and late husband Doug (2007), Barbara Pare and predeceased by son Donald Pare (1996). Beloved Grandpa of Kimberly Lumley and Kevin, Greg Sebastian and Amanda, Steve Lendvai Jr. and Jean, Kristine Harris and Wayne, Brad McMullen and Tina, Maureen McMullen, Kerrie Riberdy and John, Nicole Edwards and James, Janice Pare, Susie Pare and partner Denis, Robert Armstrong and Richard Armstrong, Dale McRae, Tim McRae and Kelly McRae. Loving Great-Grandpa of Stevie III, Kayla, Krista, Sarah, Julian, Sammy, Madison, Hannah, Sean, Dylan, Cole, Hunter, Rebecca and Aiden. Predeceased by parents Walter (1968) and Mary (1989), (nee Durocher) Pare. Dearest brother of Arthur Pare (2000) and wife Antoinette, Margaret DesRosiers and husband Alex (1992), Earl Hector Pare (1994) and wife Germaine (1979). Walter Pare (2006) and wife Rita, Theresa Harborcheon (2006) and late husband Roger, Rosemary Major (1988) and husband Harold, Marilyn Hebert (1996) and late husband Jim (2003), and James Pare (1995). Son in law to late Harry (1963) and wife Madeline (nee Bourdeau) (1965) Thibodeau. Brother-in-law of Emma Robert (1955) and late husband Hector, Rose La Belle (1984) and late husband Octave (1991), Thelma Moise and late husband Fern (1992), Jeanne Quenneville and late husband Rene (2000), Madeline (Tootsie) Viger and Jean-Claude, Sonny Thibodeau (2006) and late wife Marlene (2001) and Tom Thibodeau and late wife Pat (2007). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Roy served in the Canadian Army during World War II. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #578. Roy persued his career as a Tool and Die Maker throughout the Windsor area. Upon his retirement Roy was co-owner of Rex Tool and Mould. His artistic talents fueled hobbies in oil painting, carpentry, cake decorating and playing various musical instruments. Roy was a quiet and gentle man who will be greatly missed. Our sincere appreciation and thanks to all the staff and doctors at Riverside Place and WRH-Met Campus, 6 North for the excellent care, kindness and compassion provided to Dad during his final journey. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Tuesday February 19, 2008 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service Wednesday February 20, 2008 at 11:00a.m. in the Chapel. Veteran's Service Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. Interment Windsor Memorial Gardens Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, donations to Riverside Place, Resident Council would be appreciated.
