Obituary of Daniel Oates

OATES, Daniel "Danny" Passed away February 17, 2008, 3 days prior to his 86 th Birthday after a long and courageous battle. Beloved husband of the late Georgette nee (De Maesschalck) (1999). Dear father of Rita and husband Fred Masse ( Milton ) and Mary Saasto, (Windsor). Loving grandfather of Todd and wife Marlene Masse, Tania and husband Douglas Hudson, Peter and wife Hillary Saastamoinen, Tracy and husband Deryck Hart and Jennifer and husband Thomas St. Louis. Loving great-grandfather of 14. Dear brother of James and late wife Wilma Oates, of Essex. He is also survived by cousin Lillian Parker and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by sister Margaret Calhoun and brother John Oates. Survived by a brother-in-law Maxwell Calhoun, of Harrow, and sister-in-law Virginia Oates, of Essex. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Danny retired from G.M. Transmission, after many years of service. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E., on Wednesday February 20, 2008 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 p.m. Funeral Service on Thursday February 21, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel. Interment at Heavenly Rest Cemetery.
