Obituary of Maria Iaquinta

IAQUINTA, Maria (nee Mazzei) It is with broken hearts that we announce the sudden passing of a beloved Wife, Mother and Nonna, on February 29, 2008, at the age of 85 years. Beloved wife of the late Giuseppe (1999). Loving and devoted mother to Chiara and dan Lomonaco, Teresa and John Tedesco, Pat and Enio DiDonato, Rosie and Carmen Brower and Tony and Kim Iaquinta. Cherished Nonna to Joe Tedesco, ennifer and Shawn Abela, Salina Lomonaco and fiance Ramy Tabash, Marissa and Donavan Mariani, Stephanie and Jean-Marc Mongeau, Christina and Elvis Zgomba, Daniel Lomonaco, Kyle Iaquinta and Corey Iaquinta. Dear sister to Rosina Pignanelli and late husband Luigi of Windsor, Luigi Mazzei and wife Maria of Windsor, Francesco Mazzei and wife Marietta of Italy and Giuseppina Villella and husband Guido of Windsor. Predeceased by sisters Giovanna Longo and husband Peppino and Carmela Audia and husband Francesco. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family in Canada, England, France and Italy. She will be missed by her loyal companion Kitty Gata. Maria was a member of the Italian Ladies Rosary Group at St. Angela Merici Church. Friends will be received at the WINDSOR CHAPL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Saturday, March 1, 2008 from 7 - 9 pm and Sunday from 4 - 8:30 pm. Prayers Sunday 8 pm. Funeral Services on Monday, March 3, 2008 at 10:15 am from the Windsor Chapel then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 11 am. Entombment to follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Ontario, Heart of the City Foundation or Multiple Sclerosis Society would be appreciated by the family.
