Obituary of Dragutin Dolinar

DOLINAR, Drago 59 years Born August 29, 1948 in Bubnjarci, Croatia It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved husband, father and brother on February 5, 2008 at Malden Park Continuing Care, after a courageous battle with cancer and surrounded by his loving family. Loving husband of 37 years to Pepica (nee Fric). Loving father to Robert (Charlie). Cherished son of Franjo and Marica Dolinar of Croatia. Dear brother to Ana Fric and husband Joe, Tone Dolinar and wife Ljiljanka. Dear brother-in-law to Barbara Matt and husband Ewald, Rudi and wife Ankica, late Lovro Fric and surviving wife Janja, and the late Joseph Fric. Adored uncle to Carolin and husband Slavko Lekic, Dr. Elana Fric and husband Dr. Mo Shamji and their children, Natasa and Danijel and their children, Damir and Manuela and their children, Ljubica and Igor, Mirjana, Lilly and Boris. Dear cousin of Mike Bosnjak and daughters Olga and Janet. Drago leaves behind many friends and family members both in Croatia and in Canada. Drago was a long-time dedicated employee of E-W Metal Works. Drago was an avid sportsman, who enjoyed soccer, hunting and fishing. Drago's love for aviation was fulfilled in 1981, when he obtained his private pilots license. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East on Thursday, February 7, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers Friday at 8 p.m. Funeral Services on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at 9:15 a.m. from the Windsor Chapel then to St. Francis of Assisi Croatian Catholic Church for Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at Windsor Memorial Gardens. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Malden Park Continuing Care Centre or Sveti Kriz Church Restoration Fund in Bubnjarci, Croatia.
