Obituary of Danila Theresa Calsavara

CALSAVARA, Danila Theresa (Toldo) Passed away peacefully Sunday, February 2, 2020 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of Louis Furtunato Calsavara for 62 years (Predeceased April 1, 2011). Loving mother of Linda Keller-McCracken (Peter, 2004), Beverly and her husband Michael Harper, Louis Jr. and his wife Tracy. Predeceased by her daughter RoseMary Barrett (1997). Beloved grandmother of Jason, Christopher, Kimberly, Matthew, Kate Garett, Lauren, Brittany, Louis and David. Great-Grandmother of Hudson, Dylan, Grace, Amelia, Blake, Jocelyn, Ashton, Annabelle, Hannah, Chace and the late Aidan and Gabi. Danila gave of her time in organizing and running many Fundraisers for Hotel Dieu Hospital. They included Fashion Shows, Art Auctions and Golf Outings at Essex Golf and Country Club. She provided the Giving Tree in the upstairs lobby area of Hotel Dieu as well as furnishing two hospice rooms at that hospital so family could be with their loved ones. As a young mother, she found the time to volunteer to drive cancer patients to their appointments at Mets Cancer Clinic. She spent most winters in Florida, where with her husband Louis, she volunteered for many Women's PGA tournaments in Southern Florida. It was the perfect home away from home to be active all the time. Danila had been a long time Member of Essex Golf and Country Club and enjoyed all it had to offer.
