Obituary of William Orlin Percy

PERCY, William (Bill) December 19, 1931 - March 19, 2008. Passed away at home. Beloved husband of the late Doris (2002). Devoted father of Randy Percy (Jill), Debbie Desjardins, Charie Virga (Mike), Kellie Ditchfield (Gary). Proud grandfather of Greg Percy and Nicole, Sam Percy, Brandie Desjardins, Mike Desjardins, Shannon and Rob Ross, Carolyn Virga and Steve, Gillian Virga and Remi, Tyler Ditchfield and Krystal, and Jordynn Ditchfield. Great grandfather of Emma Ross. Dear brother of Verla Brignell, Maxine Murphy, Myril Percy, Wayne Percy and the late Cecil Harvel, Ivan, Melvin, Lucille Feeley, Murray, Larry and Doug. Bill was a proud member C.A.W. Local 444, he served as Vice President of the Retirees Chapter for 15 years, was Chairperson of the Election Committee from 1970-1981. He was a proud member of the South Western Ontario Recreation Committee Executive, and was involved with the Local 444 Retiree Golf League and Bowling League. A special thank you to nurse Laurie Brazier and to special friend Ruthann Piette. Bill will be missed by his best friend of 53 years Tony Bucsu. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Thursday, March 20, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service on Saturday, March 22, 2008 at 11 in the Chapel. Interment to follow at Victoria Memorial Gardens.
