Obituary of John Mills McCallum

McCallum-John Mills Honoured WW II veteran passed away peacefully with the blessing of Christ and with his family at his side on March 12, 2008 at the age of 86 at Windsor Regional Hospital. Born in Toronto, he is survived by his beloved wife, Ruby Francis, of 61 years and loving children and spouses: Randy and Wanda McCallum, Jack and Sandy McCallum, Arlene and John Lush, Danny and Lynn McCallum, Pam Reaume, Barbara and Mike Booth, Beverly and Paul Chortos, Mardie and Jamie Wilson, Robert (Scully) McCallum, Don (Dundee) and Linda McCallum, Kim and Ernie McCrone. John was a loved and cherished grandfather and will be sadly missed by 35 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Loving brother and uncle to sister Betty and Harve (predeceased) and family. Brother Norm (predeceased) wife Nancy and family. Survived by sister Mardie Miller and Tom (predeceased) and family. The McCallum Family wishes to express heartfelt thanks to the 6th floor staff at Windsor Regional Hospital for their loving and dedicated care. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Road East on Friday March 14, 2008 from 2 to 5pm and 7 to 9pm. A Veterans service will be held on Friday at 7:30pm under the auspices of the Windsor Veteran Memorial Service Committee. A funeral service will be on Saturday March 15, 2008 at 12 noon in the Chapel. Interment Greenlawn Memrial Gardens.
