Obituary of Livio Barbesin

BARBESIN Livio Passed away on March 21, 2008 at Hotel Dieu-Grace Hospital after a courageous battle with C.O.P.D., at the age of 82 years. Beloved husband of Elda (nee Sartori). Dear father of Maryann Plourde and husband Norbert of LaSalle, Ont., and Lino and wife Debbie Barbesin, of Windsor. Dear grandfather of Amanda Plourde and fiance Tristan Bentley, and Vanessa Plourde and boyfriend Brandon Mousseau. Dear brother of Iole Barbesin, and Luisa and husband Pietro Fier, all of Italy. Dear brother-in-law of Pietro and wife Anna Sartori., of Windsor. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. Mr. Barbesin was retired following many years of service as a bricklayer, was a member of the Bricklayers Union, and was a longtime member at his "2nd Home" the Giovanni Caboto Club, where he spent countless hours socializing and playing as a member of the Caboto Bocciofilla. As an avid gardener, Livio proudly grew a large Rosemary bush,with which he shared the sprigs with many friends, and used often in his own kitchen, when cooking for himself and his loving family. Visiting at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd., East on Monday March 24, 2008 from 2-5 & 7-9 pm. Prayers Monday at 7:30 pm. Funeral Service Tuesday March 25, 2008 at 10:15 am then to St. Angela Merici Church for funeral mass at 11:00 am. Cremation to follow.The family would like to acknowledge Dr. F.S.
