Obituary of Orel Mateciuk

MATECIUK, Orel Peacefully at the Metropolitan Campus at the age of 81 years on April 18, 2008. Loving husband of Viola sharing 56 years of marriage. Dear father of Janice Zuliani, Alan ( 1999 ) , Donna Jean Legault, Joanne & John Collins and Carol & Mike Hebert. Loving grandpa to Jason & partner Amber, Melissa & fiance Jamie, Andrew, Curtis, Mitchell, Matthew, Bradley and Rachel. Dear brother of Sylvia McTavish , Victor and the late Nick and George. Predeceased by parents Paul & Frozina. Survived by several nieces and nephews. Orel will be forever remembered for his garden especially by his neighbours. Orel retired from Windsor Western Hospital after many dedicated years. VISITING AT THE WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME 1700 Tecumseh Rd East on Monday from 2-5 & 7-9 PM. A Veteran's service will be held on Monday evening at 7:30 PM. under the Auspices of the Windsor Veteran's Memorial Service Committee. A private interment of Orel's cremated remains will take place at Windsor Memorial Gardens at a later date. Please note there will be no funeral service as per Orel's request. A special thanks to the compassionate care shown to Orel by the Nursing Staff at Metropolitan Campus ( Oncology ) and at Hotel Dieu & Metropolitan Emergenices.
