Obituary of Amelia Casagrande

CASAGRANDE, Amelia (nee Cortese) Passed away peacefully on April 15, 2008 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital at the age of 86 years. Dearest companion of the late Vincenzo Adamo. Wife of the late Alberto Casagrande. Beloved mother of Gabriella (Lynn) Coleman, Franca (Michael) Chiappetta and Clara Swanson (Dan). Loving nonna of Lori- Ann (Peter), Paul (Victoria), Lisa, Yvette (Al), Andre, David (Jessica) and Joel. Cherished Bis nonna of Dean, Hannah and Ava. Predeceased by her cherished grandson Christopher. Dear sister of Margherita (late Mario) and the late Carmela (Giovanni), Ida (Mario), Carlo, Luigi and Giovanna. Sister-in-law of Maria of Windsor and Antonietta and Marcello of Italy. Predeceased by all of her Casagrande in-laws. She will be sadly missed by numerous nieces and nephews here and overseas. Amelia retired from G.M. Trim Plant after 22 years of service. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. East, Windsor, Ontario on Friday, April 18, 2008 from 7-9 p.m. Prayers Friday at 7:30 p.m. Funeral Services Saturday, April 19, 2008 at 8:45 a.m. from the Funeral Home then to St. Angela Merici Church for Funeral Mass at 9:30 a.m. Entombment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Scalabrini Foundation for the Poor or the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
