Obituary of George Benjamin Durocher

DUROCHER, George Benjamin. Passed away peacefully on May 29, 2008 at Hotel Dieu Grace Hospital, at the age of 70 years. Beloved husband of Annette (nee Lefave). Loving father to Carolyn Thibeault and husband Gerry, Anne Marie and Les Johnston, Dwayne Durocher and Mark Durocher and Sara Girimonte. Cherished grandfather to Kyle and companion Jenna, C.J.and companion Nadia, Jarret and companion Niki, Katelyn and friend Michael, and Breanne. Dear brother to Geraldine Benson and husband Doug and Adele Haig and late husband Stu. Predeceased by parents Henry and Adele Durocher and siblings Red and surviving wife Aurise, Ginger and husband Leonard, Lorraine and husband Mac, Lorna and husband Dan, Helen and husband Mike and Joan. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews. George was a member of the K of C Council #1453 and an active member of the Alhambra. Visitation at the WINDSOR CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 1700 Tecumseh Rd. E. on Saturday, May 31, 2008 from 2 - 5 and 7 - 9 pm. Cremation to follow. A Memorial Mass to celebrate George's life will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Most Precious Blood Church (1947 Meldrum Rd. at Tecumseh Rd. E.) at 12 noon. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Windsor Regional Cancer Centre.
