Obituary of Joseph Kriz

Passed away peacefully in his 93rd year. Reunited with his beloved wife Claire, nee Greguol (1981). Joe will be sadly missed by his children, Paul and Dani Kriz, Cathy and the late Mike Prekupec. He was a proud and devoted Nonno to Justin, Jordan, Greg and Elizabeth, Matt and Yohana. He stood a foot taller the day he was presented with a new license plate inscribed "NONNO K." Predeceased by his parents Pete and Justina and brother Nick. Joe immigrated to Canada with his family from Croatia, initially living in Regina and, in time, moving to Windsor where he established a lengthy career at Chrysler Canada. He was a long time 3rd Degree Knight with the Riverside K of C and an Honourary Member at the Fogolar Furlan Club. Special thanks to the dedicated and compassionate long-term care staff at Royal Oak Chartwell in Kingsville for providing Joe with such a happy home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Windsor Chapel (Central). Visitation will be held at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church (4401 Mt. Royal Dr. at Cousineau Rd., Windsor, ON) on Saturday, February 1, 2020 from 9:00am until the time of Memorial Mass at 10:00am with Father Mike Parent officiating. Interment to follow at Heavenly Rest Cemetery. Joe's journey of life was well lived and well loved.
