Obituary of Gary Robert Gavin

GAVIN, GaryAugust 2, 1946 " August 16, 2018After 25 months of courageously and positively defying odds in coping with his spinal stroke, Gary at age 72 sailed away into his final sunset two days before Laura"s (Marentette) and his 48th wedding anniversary. Loving father of Brent (Ottawa) and Tammy (1979). Son of the late Bob and Daisy Gavin. Survived by his sister Barb Gavin (London). Special brother-in-law to Ray and Barb Marentette, Florence Rivest (Andy), Tom and Marguerite Tellier and to many nieces and nephews. Gary was a well-respected and admired educator with the WEDSB. His passion for sailing and scuba diving provided him with many memorable adventures. Sincere thanks to all our family and friends especially Matt Draisey who stood by us so we never walked alone throughout the storm. Our gratitude to Bayshore, St. Elizabeth. Special thanks to Anu, Brandon & Kelly for their excellent care. Visitation at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Banwell Chapel) 11677 Tecumseh Road East 519-253-7234 on Tuesday Aug. 21 from 4-9 pm. Prayers 7 pm. Memorial Services on Wednesday. Aug 22 at 1:30 pm at St. Anne Church (12233 Tecumseh Road East). Burial of cremated remains to follow at St. Anne Cemetery.
