Obituary of Manfred Filipowitz

Passed away peacefully on March 29th, 2016 surrounded by his family at Hospice of Windsor in his 80th year. Loving husband to Violet (nee Pettinato) for 55 years. Beloved dad to Manfred (Diana), Ron (Elaine), Kathy (Paul) Mazak, and Steve (Patricia). Cherished grandpa to Krista, Daniel, Brian, Madeline, Sarah, Nathalie, Shawn, Andrew, Jenna, and Adrian. Dearest brother to Ulrich (Mireille) of Switzerland and Helmut (Karin) of Germany. Will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Gustav and Charlotta of Germany. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the exceptional care and compassion from the entire Hospice of Windsor team. Memorial visitation will be held at WINDSOR CHAPEL (Main Chapel), 1700 Tecumseh Rd, 519.253.7234 on Thursday, March 31 from 7-9pm. A Memorial Service will take place Friday, April 1 at 11am at the Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to Hospice of Windsor.
