Obituary of Richard Kennedy

It is with broken hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of the late Richard Kennedy in his 80th year. Devoted and loving husband of 60 years to Adrienne (nee Roy). Survived by his loving children John, Kellie (Ken), adored Pepe to Scott (Ashley), Stephanie (Justin), Samantha (Tom), Steven (Lisa), John, Aaron, and great grandchildren Maddy, Adrian, Bella, Brody, Logan, Isaac and Lyla. He will be greatly missed by his many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents Robert Kennedy Sr. and Doris Pipe. Predeceased by his twin brother Robert (Yvette), siblings Carol, Brian, Heather, Bobby, Stewart, Wayne, Grant and Bruce. Survived by his siblings David, Karen and Cathy.

Loving son-in-law to the late Etienne and Claire. Cherished brother in law to Andre (Marilyn), Antoinette, late Angie (late Roland), Francois, Jeanne (Bob), Greg (Donna), Jerome (Cathy), Claire-Marie (late Doug), Carmelle (Jeff).

Richard was the pillar of his family. He was devoted to his family and could always be found tending to his yard, watering his flowers, and cutting his lawn. He adored his grandkids immensely and they added so much joy and peace to his life. He enjoyed playing cards and would gladly challenge anyone, he enjoyed his Sunday nights dancing at the Good Neighbor Club in Belle River. He was retired from Chryslers after 36 years of hard and dedicated service and was a proud member of local 444.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers Rama, Saraa, Elijah and Joe for their care and compassion, as well as all other health care providers that were involved in his care.

A visitation will be held at Windsor Chapel Funeral Home - Banwell Chapel (11677 Tecumseh Rd. E, 519 253-7235) on Wednesday June 11th, 2025 from 2-4pm and 6pm until time of memorial service at 8pm with cremation to follow.
