Uncle Don was always a joy to be around and you never knew what to expect. When he and Aunt Helen came to visit my mom after she moved, I drove over to her house to see them with the boys. They were about 7-9 then. When we got to the house there was a yellow convertible Ford Mustang sports car sitting in my mom’s driveway. Uncle Don had rented it to drive from Austin with Aunt Helen. My boys were enthralled with the car and before I knew it they were sitting in the back seat and Don and Helen were driving off with them. My mom and I were left there. It was then that I realized that the cool kids had went cruising and left the duds at the house. They left us there for almost an hour. When they got back, they were chatting like they had known each other their whole lives. Uncle Don had that charm on people. Like Elizabeth said, he knew how to make you feel special.
I will miss Uncle Don dearly.

Love you so much, Uncle Don. You always had a funny story which you told with a mischievous twinkle in your eye. You always made family gatherings fun, especially when you lost at card games. You were a wonderful uncle! Thank you for everything you did for my Mom and Dad and Aunt Helen. You are already missed. Love, Heather, Cassie and Elizabeth
Don was a trusted team member at Dean Construction for many years, as well as a friend.
Condolences to Arlette and the family, from myself and the Dean crew.
RIP, Don.
