Obituary of Bronislaw (Bruno) Stachura
Born in 1939 in Brzeziny, Poland. Passed away suddenly on March 10, 2025.
Loving son of the late Maria Stachura (1999). He will be deeply missed by his closest cousin, Steve Mirovski, and his family from Missouri; Krystyna Warzecha and her family from Poland; his friend Adrian Stokowski and his family from Windsor; and all who knew him.
Bruno was an outstanding baker and cook. He worked diligently at Blak’s Bakery, Dominion Store and Loblaws. After immigrating to Detroit, MI, to join his uncle, Wladyslaw Mirovski, he later settled in Canada, where he lived for the past 50 years. He also welcomed his mother to Windsor, where she remained for 20 years until her passing in 1999.
Bruno had a deep passion for history and loved reading books. In recent years, he experienced loneliness as many of his friends in Canada and family members in Detroit had passed away. Despite this, he remained generous and always extended a helping hand to those in need, including supporting flood victims in Poland in 2024. He also cherished the visits from Polish Scouts during Christmas and contributed donations to their cause.
Faith was one of the most important aspects of Bruno’s life. He prayed several times a day at a special altar in his home, using prayer books and religious booklets. About 20 years ago, he also founded a chapel in his hometown of Brzeziny.

Family from Poland send the following fareaway to Bronek:
